One of our leaders favorite restaurants. It is a very traditional steakhouse in atmosphere and execution. The filet is best and served properly medium rare. Always a nice cut that is delicious and well regarded. The vegetables and potatoes are offered family style in a group setting like ours. The breads are unique and quite tasty also. All is best on someone else's expense account !!

What a wonderful meal and amazing service. Joe was are server and was so attentive. He checked on us at least 6 times to the point where we never had to pour our beers into our glasses. He also crumbed our table 3 times and asked how everything was multiple times. Our steak and sides where cooked perfect. We got the peppercorn steak, potatoes and Mac and cheese. The Mac and cheese was the best I ever had. We shared the steak, sides and it was enough for both of us. It is easy to spend $200 for two people but as they say you get what you pay for. We will definitely be back.

First visit to Morton's last night for the Dining Out Fort Lauderdale special. Easy to park with the free valet parkig. Nice bar and happy hour specials before we sat down. Some hit and misses with the food. Great service. They bring you decent onion bread to start with. Ordered off the special menu, and had the tuna tower (awesome), 6 oz. filet (cooked perfectly and good) and cheesecake (excellent). Side was the lyonnaise potatoes (way too many onions). They also brought us the prosciutto appetizer and it was really good. So, the misses: told there was no more chocolate mousse when we ordered and saw other table later being served it, the potatoes, both the lyonaisse and mashed were just very average. Having just been to a Ruth Chris to compare this too, I have to say that Ruth Chris was better. Now, I have to termper that for the $35 price fix dining out deal, Morton's was a great bargain.

My issue with Morton's is the quality of the food. It's just too damn bland. The service here is excellent, and the decor is what you'd expect, but the meal (despite the hearty portions) fails to deliver, despite the premium cost. It's basically a fancy Longhorn Steakhouse at this point.

Our visit to Morton's left us with the lasting impression that the value for money at this location is not particularly good. Simply put the prices are too high for the quality that you get. They serve an old fashioned menu in an updated interior. The service was good but it was nothing to write home about. The food was good but not nearly as good as comparably priced restaurants we have frequented. The cocktails were good. Overall Morton's seems to be a stodgy establishment struggling to keep up with the times. In summer, the restaurant is largely empty.

This was my fourth time at Morton's. Although the atmosphere and service were very good, my steak was a bit charred. Overall it was a good experience, but not my best.

A great steak house. Filet's taste great and juicy. The staff is attentive. Great sides (I love their asparagus). It's a great comfortable dinner with family, friends, or for a romantic night out.

If your going to pay $500 for a dinner for four, there should be at least one memorable thing - there wasn't. The place lacks an iota of ambiance. I felt like I was in a sleazy lawyers faux paneled conference room on folding chairs. The steaks were all good, but I just feel like a sucker for paying $47 for an 8 ounce tenderloin. Steak is $94 a pound? All the sides were plain old boring without an ounce of imagination. The bread reminded me of an Arby's onion roll. The spinach salad was the most boring I've had in my life. Nothing was truly bad, but for that price, it should just be better.

I want to start off by mentioning how big of a fan my boyfriend is of Morton's. He is always telling me that it is his favorite steakhouse. He bragged about how good the food was and the wonderful service he always received. I on the other hand, have never been to a Morton's. He took me tonight to celebrate my getting into grad school. Maybe it was this location but I just wasn't impressed. And even he was very disappointed in the service that we received. The restaurant was pretty empty so walking in, we were immediately greeted and found a table to sit at. our orders were taken and a huge onion bread loaf was brought to our table. My boyfriend tells me to prepare myself for some deliciousness.... i cut into the bread and put butter on it then take a bite. My shoes weren't blown away... the bread was not hot seemed to be sitting out for a while. I hoped that this wasn't going to set the tone for dinner. Minutes go by and our server James was nowhere around. .he took our orders and disappeared. we couldn't even ask him for fresh bread or even for a drink. To eat we ordered one of the specials, horseradish crusted swordfish topped with greens and a yummy sauce that i can't remember. We also had 6 oz. Filet Mignon with 3 Grilled Shrimp & 2 Bacon Wrapped Scallops. And a side of the broccoli florets. The swordfish was really good and cooked well. Flavors went well together. The steak... scallops. .shrimp and a horseradish marmalade was tasty as well. Then we also had the molten chocolate cake. . I don't think that i really have to say anything about this. It was awesome! The food, besides the bread was pretty good but I was very disappointed with the service. I've been to quite a few steakhouses and fine dining restaurants and this one just didn't stack up as far as service was concerned. Our server just wasn't around... not attentive. Only came to drop off food and our check. For an empty restaurant there was no excuse for it.

I made reservations online for 9:15pm for 10/24/2014 and we arrived on time, this was quick and easy process. Valet was very quick to assist us once we arrived, after that point our night took a turn for the worse. We entered the establishment and no one was at the host station, we waited for approximately 4 mins until a group of three arrived and the hostess (name beginning with an A) immediately came out from the dinning area to assist them and "squeeze them in" since they had no reservation. We waited again for two or three minutes until the supervisor or manager (female about 5'1 with black hair in a black suit) asked have we been helped yet. We responded no and she responded thats what she was here for (she seemed very nice and was energetic). Once the manager seated us water was brought out in under 3 min. We received no assistance for literally 25-30 min thereafter as the waitstaff walked pass us time and time again, finally our waitress ( 5'8 with British or Australian accent) came out. She apologized for the wait and stated her and the other waitstaff were unsure as to who our table belonged to. She then took our drink order and presented us with the menu, the drink came out in under 3 min and was comped. We then ordered and was offered bread which we accepted. After the bread came out we were given crab cakes ( I was forced to try them and they were actually pretty good) the crab cake was also comped. The manager then sat down next to us and apologized for the wait and offered us advice as to which desert was the best (chocolate cake) she may or may not have offered to comp that too (i do not remember). Our food came out fairly quickly, I had the filet mignon 8oz with mashed potatoes (absolutely incredible) and my girlfriend had the salmon ( it was ok nothing incredible-she said it lacked taste). After the waitress picked up our plates we waited about 5 min for desert and it was ok nothing stood out. The bill was $84 due to dine out Ft Lauderdale we tipped another $20. If we eliminated the awful long wait for a menu and to place our order along with the hostess not being attentive then I would give this place an easy 8, however these things did happen to us. The manager (female, 5'1, black hair, black suit) was absolutely great and is a gem to the guest experience we received, she had the best energy and attention to detail traits that we experienced there. Our waitress and the manager truly did go over and beyond to turn this disaster into a positive while still allowing revenue for the restaurant and I think they accomplished that the best that they could. They turned my experience of a 1 into a 5 or 6. I worked as a bellman for 4 years while in college and I currently work for a casino/ cruise line. My experience in hospitality and F&B leads me to give this advice. The waitress not realizing we were her table was not that big of a deal to me, my issue was the number of waiter/ess that walked by us time and time again who did not offer us to get our waitress or even go in the back of the house and mention "hey someones table out there has not been served yet) really bothered me. There was no team work and leads me to believe there is a me me me attitude among the waitstaff. I believe my overall experience warranted 2 stars, but I gave 3 because of the effort put towards amending this wrong. (the person I refer to as manager never introduced her self as such but her taking control on the situation and her attire led me to that conclusion, also at no point did we complain to anyone or ask for anything free).

I have to first say that I am glad that I didn't let the reviews her influence us going. I had an opportunity to get a gift card from work and purchase a $100 for $80 at Costco...so I though this would be a good time to finally go. Onion bread...YUM! Really cold care less about a butter knife..unlike many of the reviews. Who cares...that bread was yum! Started with the crab cake...all crab...no breading...could have used a little more sauce, as I am a dipper, but it was...well, Yum! Husband had the porterhouse. It was well seasoned and cooked perfect. I had the halibut. I did have to ask them to cook it a little longer, but it had great flavor and I loved the veggie mix that was included. We ordered the spinach and the bacons Mac n cheese...all Yum. We shared he chocolate mousse...yummy! All in all..service was great...food was excellent.

Happy Hour at the bar is great with Josh. Service at the high-tops less than desirable though. Stick with a seat at the bar and try the short rib tacos...mmmmm!

What a terrible disappointment! Six of us decided to try their famous happy hour, instead of having a full dinner. What a mistake! The sliders were so burnt and hard, we sent them back. The fish tacos were so spicy they burnt your mouth, and, you needed a magnifying glass to see the avocados and the salsa. The petite filet sandwiches were promising, but the kitchen forgot the mustard sauce and there was one and a half slices of meat on a huge roll. If you like rolls, they were good, the meat was not. We all left hungry. The manager apologized and comped our food, but it did not make up for a disappointing evening.

My husband and I dined here for our 12th anniversary. The food, ambiance and service was great. They even printed out a menu with our anniversary date and congratulations. We even received a photo with "Happy Anniversary" written in the jacket.

Always solid, had a mother great meal. We started with cocktails and they gave us a good pour. As we enjoyed our drinks and looked over the menu, our waitress shared the specials. I chose the surf and turf special which was a small lobster tail and 6oz filet. Portion sizes were great. For sides I went with Brussel sprouts and we shared some truffle fries within the table. My wife ordered the Chilean Sea Bass and said the portion size was a little small but nonetheless well seasoned and good. We skipped desert after enjoying a few more cocktails.

There are only so many ways I can express my great displeasure with this restaurant. I am a long time fan of the chain and I have enjoyed numerous meals at other locations, unfortunately on New Years Eve, this was not the case. After playing it up to my wife, who has never been to a Morton's before, they could not have done a worse job. From the rude message left on my phone threatening to cancel my reservations and charge me $100, to the disinterested hostess that could not be bothered with us when we arrived shortly before our reservation, to the seating that took place 30 minutes late, our disinterested server, the hour long wait for food that was cold and sides that were simply terrible. The final straw was the manager, obviously suffering from a taxing night that felt slightly less than 10% of our check would make up for ruining what was supposed to be a romantic meal to ring in the new year. Bottom line, it was so bad I may write off the entire chain, but will most certainly will not be returning to this location and would not recommend it to anyone else.

Had dinner on a Thursday evening. Food was good but I was a little surprise to have cooked prosciutto with mozzarella. I was expecting a cold dish for appetizer. The wait staff was good and attentive and the steak was perfect. Over all atmosphere was nice. Next time I will just have the bar bites.

I did a program with 48 people in one of mortons big rooms. I hesitated and put thought whether I should post anything, but due to the service by 1 of the 3 waiters being so horrific, I thought it appropriate to post. You, sir, were rude to me and my 48 guests. While there is a presentation going on, that we pay for, you do not yell at other co-workers during our meeting. Also, you do not tell me to "relax" when I offered help in serving my guests wine because you weren't able to handle it. You obviously needed help and in your arrogance, you neglected 48 people with service. In you're rude and obnoxious behavior you made it uncomfortable for me and worse off, for your co-workers. Their professionalism should be noted to deal with such negativity. I hope this message finds you and the appropriate people that oversee your work. If I wasn't so busy listening to complaints about your rude behavior and entertaining 48 other people, I would have found someone to remove you from the event. Let it be known, I will never recommend this location again. Thank you to the other servers who had patience, smiles, and helped out even with someone holding you back. Thank you to those people who helped our night and I hope this message finds you because I know helping 48 people with 2 out of 3 servers isn't easy. Thank you.

It's a chain, of course, and for chain steak houses in Fort Lauderdale it's pretty much of a toss up between Mortons, Capital Grille and Ruth Chris. I've spent considerable time (and money) in each of them and have pretty much come to the conclusion of a tie between Morton's (tastier steak) and Capital (better ambiance), with Ruth Chris coming in a close third with its steak being about equal but having the lesser ambiance of the three. The secret of all three is about the same, being top grade meat, aged, and cooked at high temperatures. All three are spotlessly clean with top notch service, however Morton's edges the other two out with a better happy hour and with reduced price "bites" to eat which also repeats around 9:00PM.

I came here because I won a free steak and seafood dinner for two. After making the reservations and being very well taken care of, I came to their bar at 5 before they open the dining room. The selections are extensive and the bartender knew what he was doing. He created what had to be one of the best Gin & St. Germain martinis I've ever had. It was perfectly balance, which many places tend to fail on, and had tiny chips of ice that was so refreshing. We were seated and told the menu we could choose from, the steaming hot onion bread came out and we were in heaven. That bread alone can make a meal. I ordered the warm spinach salad with bacon, the Filet Mignon with broiled scallops, the french fries and the creme brulee. Everything was amazing, the salad was interesting, but I wouldn't order it again. Something about wilted/warm salad doesn't seem right in my mind. The cook was perfect on the filet, the scallops were decadent. I haven't had such good scallops in ages. I mean I really didn't even need the bacon wrapped around them, they were phenomenal being solo and naked. The fries need a lot of seasoning, they tend to be quiet bland, but they are steakhouse fries that tend to be huge and under seasoned. The creme brulee was great but there isn't any pizzazz to it. I think creme brulee is over rated and out-dated really. Unless they put some kind of spin on the flavors, it's just old. Jonathan ordered the ceasar salad, Filet Mignon with Shrimp Alexander and the molten chocolate cake. He normally doesn't order salad and said it was one of the best ceasar salads he's had, it seemed a little over dressed to me, but I loved the big croutons and fresh romaine. His filet was just the same as mine, perfect but the Shrimp Alexander were quiet boring. Again, this is just one of those out dated kind of boring things you order that sounds amazing but just fails to please. They were just as they should be, but nothing special. The chocolate cake on the other hand was amazing, I should have ordered that puppy! It was so perfectly warm and soft and gooey, and the compliment of the cold sweet ice cream worked so well. So really I think steakhouses aren't my thing anymore, I want more adventurous dining with innovative dishes to taste. I think I'm finally over the old fashioned steak dinner with the typical American sides and desserts. But if that's what your looking for, they treat you damn good here and they know how to cook it damn well. Cheers.

From outstanding service to incredibly delicious food this place is definitely 5 stars! It's a little pricey for dinner, 1 porterhouse steak was $59 all a carte BUT it was huge and the taste is unforgettable! Hey, you get what you pay for! I heard happy hour has great deals and great food so I would like to check it out one day. I will definitely be going back on special occasions. If you get dessert I recommended the chocolate cake! Unbelievable!

I made a reservation for dinner the night I proposed to my now fiance. Best decision ever. They customized the menu for us with Mr. & Mrs. at the top. Plus the front of the house came and took several photos for use and printed and gave to use in a Morton's picture holder card. A little cheesy, but the Fiance loved it, she actually cried and I looked like a rockstar. Thanks Morton's! Plus they gave us complementary champagne. The service was perfect. Attentive, but not suffocating. I never had to ask for anything, every need was perfectly anticipated, as it should be. Also, the food was incredible. I had never dined-in at Morton's before, but had take-out a few times so I knew the food was good, but I was even further impressed dining-in. We shared the escargot, the wedge salad, 16oz NY strip with au-gratin potatoes and asparagus, and the NY cheesecake for desert. Escargot was nice, the wedge salad was overrated in my opinion as are most wedge salads (we only got it because she wanted it), We ordered the steak medium-rare but it was closer to rare, which was fine with me because I would eat my steak if it was still mooing, but nonetheless delicious. I don't usually rave about sides, but the potatoes were excellent, perfect cross between well-done mac-and cheese and lightly smashed potatoes. Crispy, buttery, gooey, cheesy. The asparagus were also cooked perfectly, tender but slightly crisp. Lastly, the cheesecake was exceptional. Cheesecake is often done wrong. Morton's had the perfect texture but with an interesting twist. They lightly caramelize the top with a torch like you would get a creme brulee. Super good. Overall, I couldn't have asked for a better meal and experience on one of the most important days of my life. Thanks Morton's!

Very good food, less-than-mediocre service. When I'm spending a pretty penny on dinner for 6, I expect ass-kissing service. Instead, the waitress was annoyed at us, and I had to practically force our orders into her notepad. She almost didn't take my appetizer or wine order, and then smacked the food down when it came. Oh, and the place was empty (mid week). Management needs to train its servers much better. On the positive side, the steaks were very tasty; crisp on the outside and medium rare inside - perfect. The lamb chops were lean and delicious. The salmon was rare inside - not fully cooked - which is totally wrong. You don't under-cook salmon. Yes, it's the "new thing," but it's wrong. This isn't tuna; cook the salmon all the way through. The side dishes were excellent, including the Brussel sprouts, the thick French fries, the onion rings, and huge steamed asparagus. Deserts - the soufflé and the molten cake - were well made and quickly eaten. Overall, despite good food, one expects top notch service at an expensive steakhouse; this Morton's did not deliver on the full promise. Disappointing. Try the Morton's in Aventura or Boca- avoid this location.

YAWN! Came on a Friday night. The place was busy but not full. Not sure why the wait staff was running all flustered left and right. 2 separate waiters came by to tell us the same thing " that our server would be right by to give us the presentation" and ask what kind of water we wanted. ooooookay. Got the "presentation". Live lobster on a rolling cart also in attendance listening as our soft spoken waiter showed us the meat cuts and oversized vegetables. I ordered the ribeye from the smaller portions side of the menu and my husband ordered the Chicago style ribeye which was significantly larger. We added a 6oz lobster tail to each of our dishes (ended up being 45.00 each in addition to our steaks oooooookay $90.00).As a side we did the Lyonnaise potatoes. The bread came and it was a huge full piece (about 8" in diameter). We asked for butter knives but were told they had none, just steak knives.oooookay again. Buttered the bread with steak knives. Had the lobster bisque as a starter. It was just ok. Could have been creamier. It had a chunk of lobster at the bottom. The entrees came. The meats were cooked ok. Not the best I have ever had (helloooo L.A.'s CUT!) but it was good. The potatoes were also good. The lobster had a side of butter oil. I have to say that the tail was a little dry and actually NEEDED the butter. For dessert, we pre-ordered the Godiva lava cake. It was ok but I won't dream about it. Bad sign. Overall it lacked ambiance. The lights were turned up pretty bright. At different times during the night people walked in wearing shorts. Really? DISCLAIMER: we are not the type to complain about paying a lot for a good meal. This was just NOT worth it to me. AT ALL! I do not plan on going back.

Saw mixed reviews, but always I liked Mortons. Considered it neck and neck with Capital Grill. Boy was I wrong. Mortons, or at least the ft lauderdale location, needs help. The reservation process was fine. Things went downhill from there. The beefsteak onion salad, was tasteless, and the tomatoes not ripe. My Chicago style ribeye, was something I would have expected from roadhouse grill. I get thicker cuts from Publix, bone-in. The potatoes au gratin and the cream spinach, were both completely tasteless. Our waiter, tried, but overall, the service level, was more diner level, then what you expect from a fine, expensive steakhouse. The ambiance was "well lit". At least where we were sitting, I felt like the "spotlight" was on us. Not quite what you expect for valentine's day. As for desert, we wanted Morton's speciality desert, the chocolate cake with the chocolate liquid, but we told it would be 25 minutes. Now you of thought the waiter would have advised us at the beginning of the meal of that fact, but that did not happen. O well, no desert. Overall, it was very disappointing. We won't be going back. What a shame.

We ordered an array of items that were all delicious...the huge porterhouse, a shrimp dish, multiple side orders and everything was really great. My only complaint, which is also one of my most commons issues with food, is that some of it was too salty. The service was excellent and we were impressed. I would pick this place over any other south Florida steak house I've been to thus far.

A big fan of the Morton's locations in the DC metro area, I was a little apprehensive about this location based on Yelp reviews. My only complaint, like those of others is that they have no butter knives! That's all I can complain about though. Seems to be a hot button item here on Yelp. I could actually care less about butter knives. I took my boyfriend here for his birthday. I indicated it was his birthday during the reservation, which I always like to do when given the opportunity. Every single person from the hostess, server, two managers on the floor and the guy that keeps your water full were sure to say "Happy Birthday, Michael." They also took the souvenir photo that they do for special events and presented it to us in a paper Morton's frame. I always appreciate special touches like that during birthday's and anniversaries. I ordered a caesar salad, 12 oz center cut filet mignon cooked medium and a baked potato. My boyfriend ordered the same salad and filet (cooked medium rare) along with sour cream mashed potatoes. We actually split one salad at the encouragement of our super awesome server, Kristy (or Christy, or Kristi, or however she chooses to spell it). We weren't sure if a salad on top of everything else would be too much and she said that they are big enough to easily split and still enjoy a good portion. I appreciate when a server is helpful and not just trying to run up your check... as we probably would have gotten two salads even if we didn't want all of that food. We also ordered the hot chocolate lava cake dessert that we had to get to go as we were stuffed. They comped the dessert since it was a special event... another nice touch. We didn't have to sit through an endless presentation, which I preferred. Our server told us the things we probably wanted to hear, but didn't over do it or make it dramatic. There was no cart, which is great, because we already know what we're ordering going in. In fact, I never saw the cart. Did they stop doing the cart? I never saw the purpose of the cart, anyway... just make me some good food! My steak had just the right amount of pink and couldn't have been better. My boyfriend commented that his had just enough blood as a lot of places are worried about the blood and cook it more than he likes. He said it was delicious. The sides and bread were great, as they always are. The service we received was top notch and I felt the need to over tip, which I only do if it's exceptional. I'm glad I didn't let some of the Yelp reviews prejudice me as I ended up being pleasantly surprised. We will certainly be back.

Came here on Valentine's Day and it was the worst but the service was great. To start off with, some ordered the Lobster Bisque which was VERY BLAND and with very little lobster. So we told our waiter that we were not pleased with the lobster bisque and he took it off our bill immediately. One ordered the crab cake and when it came out to our table, we just laughed and was so speechless because it was only one crab cake and it was petite! I ordered the Tuna Tartare, which was fresh and tasted amazingly good. As our main entree came out, we were pleased with the steaks we all order. I would say this would be my first and last experience at Morton's.

I wish I could write a better review for this place... really, I do. I was so looking forward to eating here, but it was such a letdown. I brought my mother here for the Dine Out Lauderdale special. For $35 per person, you got a salad, filet mignon, choice of a side, and chocolate mousse for dessert. Considering the salads and side dishes are usually $11 each, and the steak alone is usually $45, this was a great deal. Once we were seated, we asked for the Dine Out Lauderdale menu, and I'm pretty sure our service went downhill from there. In fact, the lady at the table next to us asked her waiter if Morton's was part of that special (she wasn't ordering it, she was just curious), and the waiter said, "Yeah... shhhh." So clearly we weren't very welcome. The bread that you start out with is delicious - it's a soft onion loaf. The salad... eh. Nothing to write home about. As for the steaks, my mother ordered hers medium, while I asked for medium well. The waitress even confirmed what we wanted (medium = warm pink center, medium well = very little pink). Yet both of ours came out rare, and had to be sent back. When they brought them to the table, I cut into mine... and had to send it back again, since it was still quite underdone. My mother kept hers, and ate a few bites before getting to a thicker part of the steak which she just couldn't eat because it was too rare. A few minutes later, they brought my steak back again, and it was now medium. I wasn't going to send it back a third time, so I just dealt with it. But seriously, this is a high-end steakhouse... why can't they cook a steak correctly? I was hoping to leave this place really impressed and wanting to come back, but sadly that wasn't to be.

My wife and I stopped in here last Thursday after the Ron White Show at the Broward center for performing arts. I was not very impressed. The three stars were for the service as it was all I expected and more but the food was mediocre at best. We ordered the mozzarella and prosciutto appetizer which was good but it went down hill from there. I had the 6oz. filet, 3 grilled shrimp, and 2 bacon wrapped scallops. The shrimp were way over done and like beef jerky and the steak was nothing special (I've had just as good at Outback for half the price). My wife had the Alaskan King Crab and said it was fishy and overdone. We also had two sides Broccoli which was so over done it might as well have been mush and Horseradish mashed potatoes which had a good flavor but were very dry like they were pre made and sitting since lunch service. Overall not worth the $200 the meal with tip cost.

Usually I have spent my birthdays at Ruths Chris and wanted to try Morton's. What a disappointment. The ambiance can't compare with Ruths Chris, The service was less than you would expect at a restaurant that has exhorbinant prices, more than Ruths Chris. The food was excellent except for the onion soup that had little to no cheese. it took us 10 minutes and many tries to get the attention of the waitress. We finally called the maitre d to get our server. I will never come here again as I don't think they appreciate what people are paying in a day and age when money is scarce. I would think that the servers would hover over their guest and make sure that glasses are refilled with water and that every need is met.

Went to dinner last week at Morton's and I am hyper allergic to shellfish or casual contact with it. Advised our waiter of the issue while ordering. Before I knew it the Mgr came over to insure me that the kitchen would cook my order in clean pan with clean utensils and she would oversee them do it. She really wanted me to enjoy the experience of eating at Morton's without incident. We all ate different cuts of steak that were cooked to perfection. Sides were good as well.If you should share a similar problem, I highly recommend you go to Morton's. The Staff and Food were absolutely first rate. The staff really went out of their way to make sure my party and I had a great dinner and nice time.

Brought my soon to be wife here for her birthday. We had a great time service was excellent. I forget our waiters name but he made great recommendations with drinks and our meal. The double filet was cooked to perfection and I cut through it like butter and the taste was amazing. The rosemary chicken was just as tasteful and tender as the filet. I'm not big on asparagus but I helped myself tonight, we asked for brocolli and they said it was taken off the menu. So where did they get the brocolli they served us? Well wherever they got it from it was superb. They put a nice touch on our menu's as well it wrote: Happy Birthday (and my girlfriends name). I will definitely come back to Morton's (hopefully soon) as I like it slightly more then The Capitale Grille and much more then Ruth Chris. My 100th review I wanted to make it special and Morton's really stuck out in my mind as a special evening.

My husband and I went to Morton's for our date night. I had a wonderful experience. The service by Noni was excellent. The only complaint I had was the soups. I had the bisque and I was not pleased with it. Noni, offered me the onion soup. The onion soup was not good. It taste like it had more cheese and bread than onion broth. But, overall I would come back. The ambiance, the outstanding service and the Chilean Sea Bass more than over compensated for my soup.

On my first trip to this particular Morton's, our server ordered me the wrong filet. When he realized his mistake he quickly fixed the issue and brought me a new entrée. The manager also got involved and made sure to bring my correct entrée as quickly as possible. The entire staff was so accommodating in correcting their mistake. I really appreciated their attentiveness and I felt they went above and beyond to make me a happy patron. In fact the manager comped my dinner and brought the table a complimentary dessert. That wasn't necessary but was much appreciated. Great food and amazing service. You can't go wrong with Morton's.

omg where to begin this place on first arrival took us Aback just a little, felt like were using the side entrance as front door.... However what exists behind the side door was perhaps the most mind blowing escapade into foodie fabulousness...... first a huge kudos to Joe D for taking us through a fab trip of complete, cultural cuisine...... Like a seasoned sous chef! he was attentive, kind, intelligent, N could really guide you in food selection... joe our waiter, is my first request..... Ok, so I have to say we went for hubby's bday because I had A bee in my bonnet for like a year for a grand mariner soufflé

My first--and last--time there. I went for Prime Ribs and they only had 2 left--none rare or medium rare---oh wait they only cooked one rib--5 portions-- though it is the special of the night--oh wait again--they will not be serving PR anymore--in any case Gamaroff's down in Hallendale serves a better, just as big a Prime rib at $12.95 instead of $55. That's one thing I noticed--none of the reviews here or on their web site are there are prices--for 2 PR ($110) 1 order hashbrowns( $11) 1 carrot cake ($11.50) 1 Creme Brulee ($11) 2 sodas ($8.50) plus tax plus tip came to ($196) and the food wasn't any better than what you could get at Gamaroff's or The Ark, nor were the surroundings any better than a Taps42, Duffy's (without the TVS), Appleebes or any of the other Corporate restaurants this company owns--like Red Lobster, Olive Garden, etc. Nothing wrong with the service but can't the company afford to serve a butter knife with the bread and butter instead of a steak knife??? All in all the place is average and $196 for 2 needs more than average!!!! This was/is part of my 19th Leap Year birthday celebration and I know it has to get better! There is complimentary valet parking but not that easy to find!

I've dined at Morton's many times in many cities and have always had good experiences. We came here for happy hour and ordered 4 different appetizers as well as drinks. The service was good and the drinks were okay but the food was really bad. The crab cake sliders were some of the worst crab cakes I've ever had and after everyone at the table tried them no one wanted a second. The filet mignon sliders weren't any better. The steak was good but they were served on cheap sesame buns with no presentation at all. Even the salad wedges were bad. We will not be dining here again, not for happy hour at least. Major letdown!!

Everyone seems to have an opinion on which steak house chain is their favorite. I have eaten at quite a few national chains (Smith & Wollensky, The Palm, Ruth's Chris, Capital Grill, etc.) but have lived in locales where a Morton's is present and have never been disappointed when I visit. The Morton's Fort Lauderdale opened one year ago and since then I have been fortunate to dine there on quite a few occasions for dinner and when they are open for special lunches. The quality of meats cooked to perfection, the delicious sides (particularly the incredible mac and cheese), the club room steak house decor, and sincere friendly service always leave me satisfied. Morton's is no cheap date, but this location has their "bar bites" menu where you can purchase $5 appetizers during happy hour which include some of the best sliders I have ever had and tender filet mignon sandwiches. My mouth is watering writing this... Other menu highlights for me include the porterhouse steak for two and the Cajun rib eye-it is delectable. The scallops are plump and juicy, the crab cakes are all crab little filler, and I have heard the seafood mac and cheese is out of this world. The chicken christopher is garlicky and buttery dish for the non-red meat eater as well. One final favorite is simply the onion bread served at every table-it is crusty and chewy with the perfect amount of onion flavor. I understand that some people will disagree with this review and maintain that their favorite steakhouse chain is "the best", but all I am saying is that Morton's does steak right and for me, having this place local is a real treat.

I've always been a fan of Morton's steakhouse regardless of location. I recently took a customer to this location for happy hour and believe it's a great spot for a work/pleasure conversation. The valet was quick with my car. The waiter was very attentive. The food came quick and as always, presented well.

A friend and I went there for dinner on Friday night. The place was empty when we got there around 7pm and while we were dining a few more customers came in. Of course this is off season but my god how do they stay open. The waiter was professional, too professional that I was afraid to ask for more fluffy bread when we were finished. I saw other table had one bread to go from their waiter but we weren't offered that. The steak was good (I still prefer Ruth Chris), we ordered two sides (creamed spinach and asparagus) and shared but nothing special. We ordered their signature Morton chocolate cake and it wasn't anything to write home about. Nowadays, lots of places have this cake with chocolate filling so it's not so much signature or legendary anymore. Overall, stuffy atmosphere, stuffy waiter (too professional and not engaging), very expensive food makes this place just so so place. Steaks are good but everything else were just ordinary. Every other restaurants have same sides and dessert. Ruth is much better and with that money we should have gone to Brazilian steak restaurant (chima) and will have a much more satisfying meal.

First time I went to Morton's was about 12 years ago in Chicago. My first impression was wow, where have you been all my life..lol I completely fell in love with there steak and there Mini crab cakes. Fast forward to the present and I must say the same experience I had in Chicago repeats itself in Ft. Lauderdale, nothing has changed. I have had the pleasure of taking my wife several times for special occasions and the food and the service have been right on the spot. From the moment we walk in the service has been incredible. When we have ordered our food there has been very little wait and the steaks have always been cooked to perfection. I can honestly say that we will continue to visit this location as much as possible. Morton's got it right.

I came here a few weeks ago for a friend's birthday. There was a nice personal touch when we got to our table, the menu had a birthday message and there was little "birthday glitter" on the table. After that everything went down hill. 1) bread and butter with no butter knives, only steak knives. 2) 2 people (including myself) ordered soups and they did not come out with everyone's salads. In fact everyone finished their salads and had the dishes taken away and we still hadn't gotten our soups yet. Someone actually had to remind the waiter that they were ordered. 3) I ordered the lobster bisque and it left much to he desired. Felt like I could've gotten it out of a can. 4) 1 person actually didn't receive their salad at all. 5) I had to send my steak back twice( which has never happened to me) because it was under cooked. By the time it was corrected one side was kinda burned and I just simply didn't want it anymore. 6) oh and they "ran out of potatoes" how does a steakhouse run out of potatoes?? And we were not informed of the this mishap until they just simply didn't arrive with our meal. 7) the big highlight of the night was when someone in our group had his car hit while it was being valet parked. 8) it took more than 30 mins for us to get the check All in all I will not return to Morton's. It was my first time there and it left a bad taste in my mouth. I feel that a place of that status should not have so many mishaps. I should've went next door to P.F Chang's

The night before, I had a disappointing experience at the Blue Moon Fish Co., so i was hoping for a better experience here at Morton's or else I'd have to write off Ft. Laudey as a non-foodie town. Well, Morton's came through and saved my perception of Ft. Laudey's food scene. Sure it's a chain, but they do some great food. I was here as part of a large group, so I only got to select from a portion of the menu, but even though they served 40+ of us at the same time, it was great. Started off with the giant onion roll we all dove into (yummy), and followed that up with a petite filet, mashed potatoes and green beans. All good stuff and cooked perfectly. Key lime pie was my dessert, and while it wasn't anything over the top, it was a solid finish to a great meal.

Went to Morton's for my good friends birthday. I made a reservation thru yelp on open table w/ a special request, happy birthday! As we arrived the Maitre d' greeted us with great birthday wished and ushered us to our table, a cute booth! The menus were specially prited with happy birthday 'dude'. Our waitress was attentive and sweet! The maitre d' took a b-day photo and had it printed and in a mortons frame in only moments.the steaks were fresh and absolutely to die for. I had the bone in filet, absolutely divine! My company had the lobster tail & petite filet. Yum! The martini's are strong and exceptionally tasty. For dessert we had cheesecake, delish and it came with a warm birthday chorus. Overall, phenomenal dinner!

Not fantastic but good. I prefer The Capital Grille. Service was good but not spectacular. We were with a large party and most of the steaks were slightly over cooked.

Went for the Bar Bites menu after 9:00pm and great as usual. Had the Salmon Pizza for the first time and it was great. My 13 year old son loves eating the chicken fingers (Morton's has a fancy name for them). Ordered the upside down Apple Pie for dessert (it takes 45 minutes, so order ahead) and it was good but not outstanding.

I've done a lot of reviewing, including an appearance on "Check Please," but this will be the first where I use a 1-10 rating scale, where 10 is tops. This is easier, and it saves wear and tear on my typing fingers. VALET PARKING -- one must know where to look, on the south side of the office building. Because the building is at the SW corner of Broward Blvd. and Federal 1, there's little chance of finding street parking. The service was perfect, but it may have been a 75-foot walk to the entrance, not good in a downpour. Score: 8 AMBIANCE -- nicely urban and polished. Score: 9 STAFF GREETING & SEATING -- wonderfully cordial and friendly. Score: 10 COCKTAIL -- a decent Manhattan, but half the size served at Ruth's Chris. No score. APPETIZERS -- lots of food was coming, so we skipped 'em. SALAD -- we split a chopped salad, which I thought was tasty but chopped so fine that we could have used spoons to consume it. Score: 8 CREAMED SPINACH -- big portion, perfect. Score: 10 LYONNAISE POTATOES -- not as I expected, but perfect. Score: 10 M'LADY'S LITTLE FILET -- looks really small when served on an otherwise bare plate, but she reported it was very good with Bearnaise sauce. Score: 8 MY CHICAGO STYLE BONE-IN RIBEYE STEAK -- made a good appearance, properly charred in all the right places, but 2-4 oz. smaller than I expected for the $54 price tag. The taste was great, but alas, the meat was NOT juicy and tender (ordered medium rare), and was the night's only disappointment. I prepare luscious rib steaks on my grill at home, so I was pretty disappointed. In retrospect, I should have sent it back after the first two bites. Score: 4 WINE -- two glasses of something red, not memorable, but okay. No score. DESSERT -- we shared an order of great "upside-down apple pie". Score: 10 COFFEE -- a very good decaf, lightly roasted, mellow rather than bitter. Score: 10 STEMWARE, GLASSWARE, FLATWARE, NAPKINS -- Score: 10 SERVICE -- perfect, from entrance to departure. Score 10 SUMMARY -- despite the disappointment with my costly rib steak, we had a very good time and departed Morton's in a jolly mood with lots of leftovers. LATER NOTE: I grilled a nicely-marbled Fresh Market rib steak after writing the review. It turned out tender, juicy, and delicious. My wife pronounced it the best steak she ever had.

Personally, I'm convinced that a high-volume premium steakhouse chain would be hard pressed to match the caliber of a top-shelf local steakhouse. In the case of Morton's, I've eaten in their flagship Chicago location (long ago) and several of their local spots; there is little comparison in service or the little details which determine greatness. Morton's in downtown Fort Lauderdale is the second best of the non-Chicago locations I've been to, and is very good (New Orleans is better). Not 5-star good, and maybe not $130 a head good (with much wine and whiskey), but very good. Morton's "bit" is their ten minute floor show, performed with actual meat and lobsters in an over-rehersed and mechanical ritual. Apparently, the waiter must finish this presentation before your order can be taken-- they get flustered if you try to speed-up the process. The first few times it's mildly amusing, but there's a point where even the lobsters are clamoring to leave the room! Aside from these compulsory annoyances, service is attentive without crowding. Morton's steaks have a tender-- but more toothsome-- texture and pleasing flavor undertones, although I don't believe that they're dry aged. If they are, the aging isn't adequate to develop the fabled "mineral" flavor notes of aging perfection. The baked potato is absolutely massive, but well prepared. Sides are a half-notch above the competition, in general. Read as 3.25 stars.

Tried Morton's last night for the first time. MISTAKE! While the drinks were fine ($14.50 per martini!), the service was a bit clumsy and disorganized. Timing was off and wait staff seemed scattered. Our steaks were undercooked,so they took them back and cooked them a bit more. Sorry, but the quality just wasn't there for a $50 piece of meat. Everything's a la carte and double digit. Way too expensive for the quality of the food and the service. Big disappointment!

I have been to this location before (several months ago), so when I went back a couple of weeks ago I was expecting good things. Instead,I was VERY disappointed. My girlfriend and I went on a Thursday night, it was not busy at all. The waitress took a long time to even bring over our menus. We spent much of the evening waiting for her to come back around to us. We ordered our second round of dirty martinis before our main course arrived, and we did not actually get them until they brought our dessert. Martinis and chocolate cake do not mix. My girlfriend had the colossal shrimp, which was very good. My steak, however, was not. It was extremely bland, I have never had to load up my steak with so much salt and pepper before. For a steakhouse chain that claims to have "The Best Steak Anywhere!", this was an enormous letdown. Perhaps the most absurd part of this whole evening was that I paid $250 (with tip), for such a mediocre meal. Morton's actually sent me a feedback form, which I promptly filled out with my complaints. That was two weeks ago and I have not heard anything since. Customer service is obviously not something they place a great emphasis on. I can't see myself going back to this location again. The Capital Grille or Rare on Las Olas are much better options for steak. There are too many good restaurants in South Florida to waste anytime on an overpriced, lackluster dining experience such as this one.

The service was horrible. Took over 90 minutes to get our appetizer. Had to request multiple times for a coke. I'm sorry Pepsi. We got steak sandwiches and they were just plain Jane sandwiches. Raw and cold. I would avoid this place at all cost. Not worth the time, the money, or the food.

I was here recently for a business meeting. We all stand around bullshitting while enjoying a few cocktails before the meeting and the service was lightning fast. Once we were seated, we ordered our meals. We were given bread, then a salad, then out entrees. The bread was fresh and warm and very good. The salad was fresh and tasty too! I ordered the filet and it cam with a bake potato the size of my head and I have a huge melon!! The steak was cooked perfectly and full of flavor.

2 words: HAPPY. HOUR. What a wonderful feeling it was to have a delicious dinner of small bites and drinks at MORTON'S for under $50. These high end steak houses are starting to realize there is a HUGE untapped market that they can take advantage of by offering smaller portions at super affordable prices and I am so happy! I came into Morton's yesterday with my husband (a Monday evening) for their "power hour" which is from 5pm - 630pm and it was delightful. They have a variety of choices on their food and drink menu from the bar and the prices are hard to beat. Of course it is Morton's bar menu and not their full dinner menu, but I still found it to be a great deal. They have food options ranging from $7-$17 and drinks from $5.50 - $8.50. We ordered a bunch of things and they were all delicious. In order from best to still really good: 1. The crab and spinach dip! This was so flavorful and is served with buttered crostinis - great appetizer. 2. Four filet sandwiches - these are like sliders of steak gloriousness. They cook the steak to your preference and its served on 4 mini buns with a mustard aoili type sauce - yum. 3. Three petite filets - again they cook the steaks to your preference and they serve with 3 different sauces. The filets are like the perfect 2-bite size so you can sample all 3 and not be too full to eat other things. 4. The wedge bite salad - this was a favorite for the husband. It was 4 small wedges covered in blue cheese dressing, fresh blue cheese chunks, bacon, egg and tomato. I could have used a little less dressing but it was still really good. The bar area is very nice situated at the front end of the restaurant with floor to ceiling windows. They have high tables as well as stool at the bar itself. Overall I LOVED IT! I plan to be back for many more power hours!!

Filet was like "butta" and cooked to perfection; so delicious. Absolutely NEVER order the escargot. It was the world's worst, and I would strongly suggest they remove it from their menu. Mac-n-Cheese was to die for (had the crunch factor sprinkled within/on top). The bread is not good at all. The onion loaf they bring you seems old and dry. the little bread puffs they put on the escargot were so inappropriate. The reason for bread with escargot is so you can dip in and get the garlic butter sauce; the puffs they put on there fall apart and crumble, resulting in bread crumbs and no ability to dip. Plus the butter on the escargot seemed like it may have been "I can't believe it's not butter" or some fake butter. It was sooooooo bad. The place is run down though, only thing classy about it was the prices on the menu. Many guests walking through looked like they stopped in from a dive bar. I was shocked it was allowed and a dress code wasn't in place. You certainly did not feel like you were at an high end restaurant, but rather at the Outback Steakhouse or below. i wanted GREAT escargot for some reason, and on that note, we should have gone to de Paris. All and all, a great meal and time in spite of this place. next time we'll go to de Paris for a glass of wine and escargot, then consider Morton's for the steak. That steak was delicious. The oysters rockefeller was pretty darn good too. Oh and 5 stars for the wait staff/managers. Enjoyed them all. BUT, bottom line; honestly, I'll never return for a classy dining experience. The place was depressing. When I pay $50 for a steak, and I'm paying $12.50/glass of wine, etc., I expect more out of the ambiance, which was just a total fail on so many levels. The whole place could use a facelift decor wise. The best thing they had going was the little "piggy" oil candles on the tables.

It isn't often that I have really looked forward to writing a review as much as I have this one. A long time ago I swore off Morton's when we had a really lousy dinner at the Aventura location. So, skeptically I made reservations at the Ft. Lauderdale location when I found out it existed ! It was my moms birthday and they asked us if there was any special occasion. To my shock they had a personalized menu waiting with " happy birthday" and my moms name. They also provided us a complimentary picture in a nice Morton's paper frame. Great experience and very special for a special day. The food was awesome as was our waiter. He was actually incredible. ( Chad ) We started with the French onion soup and the lobster bisque, one order of escargot and a bottle of Malbec. The soups were amazing, wine was nice. We all had steaks. Four of us had four different steaks and all were pretty much cooked to order. The medium rare could have been a smidge more rare but too delicious to complain. We had the potatoes au gratin, creamy spinach, asparagus, baked potatoes, and the awesome onion bread served on the table. All sides were awesome. The asparagus was a bit burned and had a burn taste but everything else far made up for it and again we didn't complain. For desert they brought an amazing piece of cake. The manager visited our table a few times, he was awesome and the entire staff was great. I am not sure if they have made any changes at the Aventura locations since my visit several months maybe even a year or two ( can't remember ) but if they haven't they can learn a few things from the Ft. Lauderdale location. When you pay $400.00 for dinner you expect it to be awesome and this was. We will be back.

I celebrated my birthday at Morton's earlier this month. While I always enjoy the meal, it seemed like the service was better than ever. There were 10 of us. We started with appetizers ranging from the tuna tower (my favorite) to various salads. The tuna is really outstanding. Has a little kick to it, but not overly spivey. The wonton crisps add a texture to the dish that makes it stand out. I was the only non-steak eater. Everyone enjoyed their cuts, with one ordering he peppercorn sauce. I had the crab cakes. I have been eating crab cakes at Morton's for over 15 years. When they became part of the Landry's family, they actually improved their already good crab cakes. Mostly lump crab, with very little filling. I had one for dinner and the other crab cake for lunch the next day. Sides are family style. My family loved plaintiff's the hash browns. It is not my favorite way to have potatoes, so I am not a good judge. The Brussel sprouts and asparagus were well prepared (consistently with previous visits). The mushrooms were delicious. For my birthday, they brought my the hot chocolate cake. What can be bad about hot gooey chocolate with vanilla ice cream? The cake is luscious and not too sweet. Looking forward to our next visit.

This is the type of place where you would assume people would at least change out of gym clothes for, right? Not always. There was such a smorgasbord of people here (it was a Saturday night, but still) from families to old people to a lone biker guy. But I would assume you would want to dress up a little bit. Yet a good amount of people were in what I would wear to the gym. Technically there is no dress code, but come on. Rant over. We had an 8:00 reservation but got in early so we decided to see what the situation was. They have free valet so we parked the car and the hostess had us sit at the bar for a few minutes. I hadn't even had time to order a glass of wine before she came and got us for our table. Awesome. We sat down and our waitress Nonni was awesome from the get go. She was friendly and helped indecisive me pick out what I wanted from the seemingly endless wine list. We ended up splitting the bacon wrapped mozzarella as an app, had 2 filets and mashed potatoes, and got the molten chocolate cake for dessert. They give you the onion bread as well and even have a special blade thing to get the crumbs off the table. I was mildly impressed when she did it one handed with plates in her other hand. The mozz and prosciutto was incredible and comes over arugula and balsamic. The assistant waiter was also awesome and kept our water refilled the entire time. We never had to ask. I ordered my steak medium rare and it was so tender and juicy it literally was melting in my mouth it was so perfect. No sauce needed. They kind of "get you" to order dessert by asking you if you want to order the cake when you order entrees because it takes 30 minutes to bake. It does, but if you waited until people were done with their entree to ask for dessert you wouldn't sell as many since people are so full. Waitress selling tactics; I understand but by that point I didn't care. It was delicious. Came out with raspberries and ice cream. NOM. Once we got the check it was very smooth and we weren't kept waiting around at all-a point usually that is annoying to me at most meals. They even have my favorite kind of butter mints and it took all my sanity and politeness not to palm the whole bowl and dump them into my purse.

I frequently dine out, but the service and food at this place is below average. The managers are extremely rude but the staff is not. I visited this restaurant during the Heat final game only to be told that I have gotten free food in the past, is this really quality customer service? U I thought that was extremely rude. I would never recommend this place to any friends or colleagues. This place needs to be shut down!!! Save your money and go somewhere better. You should not have to wait over an hour for your food, and get a rude manager telling you that your a cheap customer!

Man idk if I came on an off night for a work dinner or what but I was just not impressed. the servers seemed flustered and all over the place. sure we were a big party but you knew that. the little apps on the table were pretty good, mini crab cake which was great and other little beef nibbly things, the BV wine was tasty. we had a ceasar salad to start, however they asked if I would like anchovies, I said yes, no anchovies, tiny bits of egg and cheese, weak salad, the double cut filet was just average, lacked flavor, bernaise sauce was meh, green beans and mashed potatoes were good, and the chocolate mousse for dessert was delicious, I can't complain bc it was a paid dinner but if I would have had to pay I would not be so happy.

My husband and I enjoy Morton's and always have the most friendliest wait staff. Saturday night was no different. We did have a 'minor' screw up but the hostess immediately fixed it. We had a reservation for 8:45 and surprisingly we were on time! I had made the reservation earlier through Open Table and had my confirmation on hand, just in case. The hostess couldn't find my name in the computer, however, she did find a 'Jodi' with the same reservation time that we had. The mix up, there was another Jodi who didn't have a reservation and they changed my name to hers! One of the hostesses said that we would have to wait. We were starving at this point and asked how long. The hostess explained the error and apologized, I just gave her the 'big eye' look and she said she would check on something. Two minutes later we were seated! Kudos for her professionalism... They start by bringing your table a loaf of warm onion bread. Reminds me of the rolls my grandmother used to buy. My husband and I both ordered the Filet. I ordered the 6oz and couldn't finish, he ordered the 12oz and enjoyed every last bite. Filet was perfectly cooked and tender as can be. One of their side dishes is the creamed corn. This was so delicious, with chunks of bacon for added flavor. Mashed potatoes was the second side we ordered, perfect consistency. My favorite part of the meal, no surprise, dessert! I always order the same thing at Morton's...Chocolate Mousse! Not to rich, but extra creamy and full of flavor. By far the best chocolate mousse around! I could have just dined on the bread, corn and mousse alone! Morton's is one of our favorite 'Date Night' restaurants to frequent...no screaming kids!

Overall service was ok, food quality not as good as one would expect from a high end restaurant chain. I would definitely choose capital grill, Ruth Chris, Truluck or Flemings over Mortons. One word of advice--Definitely avoid seafood esp Sea Bass and stick w ordering steaks bc the quality of seafood and cooking preparation poor.

Good bar bite menu for hh. The bar is quiet and there are many seats at the bar and at tables in the bar area. Drinks and food is offered at $6-$8 from open to 6:30pm. It's a great place for a large group and very quiet so it's easy to have a conversation. The staff allowed us all to have separate checks. Pros: -FREE valet (heading south on federal turn right into an alley after you pass Broward Blvd.) -Quiet atmosphere -Clean -Friendly staff -Great bar bite menu and it's discounted at happy hour: -I had the cheeseburger sliders. They were juicy and seasoned well. They were topped with red onion, lettuce, cheddar cheese, and tomato. Nice fresh quality buns. -Truffle fries---you get a large amount and they are covered with truffle oil and parmesan cheese. They are small match stick fries. -Potato chips----freshly sliced potatoes that are fried. They come with blue cheese but they substituted ranch dressing for me. It is a large portion great for sharing. Cons -I wish the happy hour went until 7pm for people who work and need to commute. -no greeter at the door

We wanted to visit this place and never could get around to it. We were invited out by a friends who raved about this place and while some things were good other we just ok. I think it was more the friend hyping it up so much. Nothing at all was not bad just want to make that clear just not as promised. The shrimp Alexander were devine that dish was totally a winner. The cajun ribeye was good but bring they marinate it for 2 or three days I expected it to have more flavor throughout. It was flavorful but not as defined a cajun taste as expected. Were were also told to order the hash browns which again were good but I hate to say I had better at IHOP (just being honest). Can't remember what else we had but it was not bad. Now we did go back and do the bar bites in the bar section of the restaurant. I think we were going there weekly. All the items which I think we tried them all were all outstanding. This is the reason I have to give this place at least four stars otherwise I would have to give it three. Not sure if they still have the bar bites being we have not been in a long time but if they do you MUST try.

Got a call from the Morton's Ft. Lauderdale General manager. She really said nothing other than she was sorry I had a terrible experience there and she would see that my experience was better the next time I came in? (HEY! What about the nearly $200 bucks dinner cost that I wasted on a terrible experience) I think Morton's needs to take a good look at their "CUSTOMER SERVICE". Offering me a good experience is what was offered the first time I came in. I even relayed the fact that I live in the neighborhood and could be a regular! Nothing doing with this entire sub-par experience from then to now. It appears that Morton's is so successful that there is no room OR need to improve? With the choices we have today in restaurants, it's a shame that the GM of a place that represents itself to be a top notch steak house is really not concerned about the waste of a customers $200 bucks and offers a consolation prize to a good Morton's customer. I gave her plenty of opportunity to do the right thing but there was no interest other than to go through the motions that possibly corporate asked her to go through and offer me a good experience next time? What is that????? I am done with Mortons, and I say "Beware", if you have a bad experience here, "AND I BET THERE ARE PLENTY", they will not take it seriously or do anything to make it right! Good Luck Yelpers. Go to another location, for Morton's if you must, (Aventura is very good) because they are not all bad, but in Ft. Lauderdale, stick to Ruth's Chris down the road for a far better experience all around.

Love their specials! Always check that: their b'day 39$ 3course dinners, occasional other like 21$ burger+ glass of wine in august. Service always great! And they have amazing key lime pie! I loved the burger w blue cheese and mushrooms. changed fries for asparagus, felt like healthier dinner that night

Awesome dinner experience. Had the mixed grill filet with shrimp. Steak was cooked to perfection. My friend had the salmon with spinach and mushrooms. Food was great.

First experience never going back. Went to a office Christmas party in the private room over the weekend. Food took forever to be served, for only 22 people very disappointing, only decent part of the meal was the room temperature appetizers and desserts. Had a set menu, with prices and was over charged and ultimately double charged on my card due to the incompetent employee after he took an 1hr and 30mins trying to figure out the bill. A fellow coworker also had her debit card double charged with two different amounts. Once brought to the attention of management someone named Olga today. Not only was an apology was not offered. My coworker who set up the event was blamed for misunderstanding their rules! ! Poor service and attitude, very disappointing.

Not sure what all the fuss is about. Holiday company dinner ...food and service were on the level of an Outback, for 2-3 times the price.

One of the great finds anywhere is the happy hour at Morton's The Tuna Tacos are outstanding, the Filet Trio a prime meat that literally melts in your mouth. The homemade potato chips with blue cheese dipping sauce has no match. The prices can not be beat for a downtown Ft Lauderdale happening spot. Ask for Josh in the bar for outstanding service.

Usually sit at the bar for happy hour. The bartenders are very inattentive. I've sat at the bar several times and it gets crowded because of happy hour. The bartenders take forever to acknowledge you, they leave the bar tops dirty, drinks take a long time, and have zero personality. I'm in the food business and I would NEVER allow my bartenders to treat guests like that no matter if it's casual dining or fine dining. PLEASE BE MORE ATTENTIVE TO YOUR GUESTS SO THEY WILL COME BACK AND STAY. I heard the one in Miami is better.

This is the 2nd time my husband and I have been here, once for dinner (last August, was fantastic) and this time for happy hour. The service is great (unless you live your life in a hurry, then you might find it a bit slow, but I prefer to take my time, so it suited me). I was really interested in the happy hour drinks, but I like the happy hour food menu, lots of cheap options. We had the blt crab cake sliders and the filet mignon trio, yum! I'd definitely go back for happy hour.

In all actuality I want to rate this place 3.5 stars. Very ordinary service and food for the prices that are required to be paid. Yes the steak is good, and everything is else is good as well but nothing above ordinary. If I want ordinary I will just dine at Outback or Longhorn steak house. I was not a fan of their cesar dressing that tasted like pure anchovies at all. Their mash is good and their skillet potatoes but I did not like their curdled mac and cheese... why is a $15 side dish of mac n cheese curdled? I probably wouldn't go back if I had to pay with my own money.

Convenient location, Great food, excellent service and a fun ambiance make this a definite stop for a night out or even just a quick drink. You can't get more convenient than the corner of Broward and Federal, one block off of Las Olas. As a result, there is always something "happening" here- whether it is a signature event by a local organization, Morton's "Power Hours" or just the spot where everyone seems to be. For a quick casual meal, check out the bar specials that take place all day EXCEPT during the typical happy hours. Dubbed the "Power Hours", it begins when Morton's opens at 5pm until 630, then starts again @10pm until close. Expect specials on select beers, wines and cocktails along with a few "small bites". Our favorite small bites are: - Mini Crabcake Sandwiches - Filet Mignon Trio (after all, you are at a steak spot!) Definitely try the mojito special! This promotion makes this a great spot to come by in the early evening or late evening for "the scene". Service is always on point. Recommended for quick bites or socializing.

Came here for a group dinner, about 35 of us, so we had a private dining room. The room was beautifully set up, very impressive. Being a large group we had arranged. Set menu, which was fine. For starters we had the Ahi, crab cakes, and caprese. The mixed field green salad with blue cheese and pear (or was it apples?) was tasty--just the right size. My filet was excellent! Perfectly cooked, great flavor and a generous portion! The mashed potatoes were deliciously creamy and smooth. The cheese cake was good but a little heavier than I usually prefer. All in all a good choice!

This is the second site that I'm placing my review of this location from New Year's Eve. Surprisingly it isn't easy to go through their website to send direct feedback - so I'll resort to public forums until I get a response. Full details are on their Facebook page - but the summary is: late searing of our reservation. 70 minutes waiting for our food with no communication or even eye contact by any of the staff, flighty manager that we had to ask for and then never saw again, two of the four steals had to be sent back and barely an apology as they only offered to comp our desserts. Shut this location down and start over.

Note: My review is entirely of the Power Hour Happy Hour at the Bar. Refer to other reviews if you want to know about the main dining area. This place has a fantastic happy hour that runs until 6:30pm and again from 9pm until close (have a really great night and stay for both). Drinks range from $5.50-8 and they have a nice selection of wine, beer, and cocktails (cosmo, martini, mojito, palm beacher, manhattan). My group had a round of well made manhattans. The mojitos are also very tasty. We also ordered a round of appetizers that were very well priced at $6 or $7 each including prime cheeseburgers, parmesan truffle fries, and iceberg wedge bites. The cheeseburgers and fries were awesome bar food. On a prior trip I had the house-made chips (HUGE portion, made to share), and the fillet sandwiches (4 tasty little sandwiches, but the burgers are better). Nice atmosphere at the bar and they have several hightops if you want to branch out. There are also a number of TVs. Happy hour at Morton's is worth the walk away from the main drag of Las Olas.
